We present the Avanti Sails Poweride V2.

The new generation of Poweride sails takes the freeride experience to a new level. Both the membrane and the monofilm version are characterized by a powerful profile in the lower sail area and are clearly aimed at performance. The profile is similar to that of the Tempest, but dispenses with a high-aspect approach in order to generate sufficient backhand pressure even without camber.

The focus of the development was on maximizing and stabilizing the pressure point, which noticeably simplifies the riding experience. The 2021 SURF test rated the sail as perfectly balanced and the Poweride was also the test winner in terms of rotation.

At 4.0 kg (7.0 square meters), the membrane version of the Poweride is also the lightest freeride sail on the market. So if you are looking for a sporty sail that works without the handling deficits of camber sails, the Poweride is the perfect choice.

Membrane technology

The membrane sails are characterized by a very soft and smooth ride, which is incomparable. Gusts drive the windsurfer forward rather than taking him out of control and give room to focus on maneuvers and tactics or relaxation. Where a monofilm sail loses its pressure point and begins to flap in the wind, the membrane sail remains stable and unchanged in its shape in the hands of the rider.
