Introducing the JP Australia HydroFoil Slalom S-TEC 2026.
AERODYNAMIC MASTERPIECE
Flying faster than ever before, the HydroFoil Slalom will launch in 2026 with a new 85 generation designed to dominate in all conditions. Our mission was clear: more efficiency, more control, and more top speed in the air. The result is a board that redefines aerodynamic flow, stability, and rider comfort at high speeds.
Foiling has become the heart of modern slalom racing, and JP Boards continues to lead the way. With decades of experience, shaper Werner Gnigler has once again pushed the boundaries, refining the outline, rails, and deck profile to create a board that accelerates faster, releases cleaner, and remains more stable when powered up. Every aspect has been revised for competitive advantage, from airflow release to deck stance, from cutouts to control.
The HydroFoil Slalom line continues to focus on the core sizes 80, 85, and 88, so every rider can find the perfect size for their weight and wind range.
S TEC:
Weight remains a crucial factor in foil racing. That's why all HydroFoil Slalom boards continue to feature our groundbreaking S TEC technology, minimalist, ultra-lightweight, and built without compromise.
- No color
- Reduced anti-slip only in standing area
- Thinner pads, less EVA and adhesive
- Optimized lamination with individually prepared fibers
The result is up to 300 grams lighter than conventional designs, yet still durable thanks to strategic Biax Carbon . This construction delivers earlier lift-off, sharper responses, and unparalleled control in flight.
HYDROFOIL SLALOM 85 – new for 2026
By optimizing its shape, the HF SL 85 has reached a new level of performance. It is designed for the widest wind range and now has a slightly longer outline and an optimized scoop rocker line, which allows for earlier take-off at low speeds, while remaining compact thanks to the extremely sharp V in the underwater hull in the nose area.
The biggest changes were made to the deck. Completely redesigned for aerodynamic flow. The hull's longitudinal profile acts like an aerodynamic profile, minimizing drag, generating lift, and keeping the board stable in the air.
Every detail of the HF SL has been redesigned with one goal in mind: more speed, control, and efficiency. These updates define the evolution of the HF SL 85.
- New rail design for turbulence-free flow, stable airflow, and efficient water release during takeoffs and landings
- Deck tail release cutout for clean air separation without turbulence
- Flatter deck at the front foot for better leverage over the foil and more power
- Refined rail shape at the rear foot, slightly smoother for maximum comfort and control
- Double loops at the rear for a more inward option in strong winds and a more outward option for more power on tight downwind courses and in light winds.
HYDROFOIL SLALOM 80 and 88
The 80 and 88 models remain unchanged for 2026, allowing every rider to find the perfect size for their weight and racing conditions. Together with the newly developed 85, they form the ultimate Slalom Foil quiver.
SHAPE HIGHLIGHTS all sizes
- Aerodynamic nose efficiency with flat scoop, thin rails, and curved nose deck for laminar flow and stable lift
- Mast foot area with full rails and sharp edges for efficient lift and smooth touchdown
- Deck box recess lowers the Baseplate, increases efficiency, and improves control at top speed and when jibing
- Tail aerodynamics with concave recess for stable airflow
- Large tail cutouts reduce drag, volume, and wetted surface area for instant lift and high-speed control.
- Wide tail for leverage and speed without losing control over the massive foil forces
