We present the Loftsails Purelip 2026/2027.
With over 20 years of continuous development, the Purelip has long been the benchmark for uncompromising wave performance. Developed for the toughest conditions, it excels in waves, bump-and-jump and on the really big days.
The Purelip 2026 brings fresh optimizations to the proven setup. Higher aspect ratios mean shorter booms - this improves handling and responsiveness. Revised luff curves provide more control in an even wider wind range. The realignment of the batten angles shifts power and weight further down - for a lighter, more balanced feel in the hands.
Stability and easy handling remain clear trademarks: From size 3.7 upwards, a 5-batten layout is used to ensure top-end stability. New double Kevlar radial reinforcements on the clew keep the profile clean even under heavy pressure and distribute the loads efficiently - for consistent performance and a long service life.
The durability has also been increased again: new 5 mil panels in the foot area and a robust 30 mm wide mast seam ensure high resistance to wear and tear in tough everyday wave conditions. The complete X-Ply construction is retained, as is Loftsails' exclusive Integrated Panel Concept (IPC) with overlapping reinforcements at the head, tack and clew - for unsurpassed strength. The head section is made of double-layer Dacron - this makes furling easier and increases durability.
The new 2026 design is pure functional minimalism: less superfluous marker material and scrim reduce the center of gravity and further improve durability.
Like all Loftsails models, the Purelip also offers a large trim range and an extremely fine tuning response. Two clew eyelets and three micro battens in all sizes allow you to fine-tune the leech tension perfectly - even with hard trimming, the sail remains calm and flutter-free.
No tube battens that break when the wave breaks - instead Loftsails relies on its tried and tested standing battens. These deliver powerful, propulsion-oriented performance and at the same time take a beating. From abrasion-resistant mast protection to cleverly placed PVC reinforcements - every detail is designed for durability and tough use.
Rounded off by the clear, purposeful 2026 design, the new Purelip stands for maximum control, reliability and true Wave DNA - season after season.
