Our special foil freerace sail combines the ultimate foil technologies of our Neilpryde Flight EVO series with the user-friendliness of the Neilpryde V8. The V8 Flight is the ultimate high performance freerace sail for foil - it is super fast and easy to control at all times. Four sizes from 5sqm to 8sqm give everyone, in a wide wind range of approx. 6-25 knots, the opportunity to outperform their competitors. to overtake with ease. The V8 Flight is one of the most popular foil sails in the personal quiver of many windsurfers as well as in windsurfing centers and schools around the globe.

Sail properties

Directly derived from our RS:Flight program, the V8 Flight offers almost as much speed, power and upwind/downwind capabilities as our pure racing foil sail, but with a narrower luff sleeve and only 2 cams. |
| Construction with narrow double luff | A significantly narrower luff than the RS:Flight allows for faster and easier setup and minimizes the ability of the luff to fill with water when submerged after a fall |
| Easier to set up than a pure slalom sail | With only 2 cams and slightly less total downhaul tension, the V8 Flight can be set up much faster than a fully chambered foil slalom sail |
| Jibing and rotation | The advantage of a double batten sail in the gybes is that the rotation is smoother and easier. This is particularly helpful when foiling, where even slight movements of the sail can influence the flight of the foil in the gybes. |
| Foil specific | Designed exclusively for foil free-race, the V8 Flight utilizes design features that are not possible on fin sails due to the need for control and wind release. |
| High-aspect design | The design of the V8 Flight is directly derived from the high aspect design of the RS:Flight . This allows the sail to get the most out of every gust and promotes maximum speed as well as upwind and downwind performance. |
| Tight windward edge | Since control over waves is not a problem when you are on the foil, the V8 Flight is designed with a tighter leech than a pure slalom sail. This increases acceleration and efficiency and allows the use of a smaller sail. |
| 6 slat design | Since foil sails don't need to be as control-oriented, we were able to reduce the V8 Flight to 6 battens, save unnecessary weight and give the sail a softer feel and better pumping/jibing characteristics. |
