The Essentials Cardan Baseplate combines the tendon joint core from Unifiber with a mechanically hinged top.

Thanks to the cardan joint, attaching the sail—whether on the beach or on the water—is easy, without having to turn the board over or bend the tendon manually.

The core is built around a high-quality TPU tendon and anchored with two large-diameter custom bolts, so the tendon can be easily replaced without damaging the bolts.

The U-pin section is made of solid stainless steel to ensure a long service life.

The baseplate is made of sturdy POK plastic, ergonomically shaped and easy to unscrew – even after intense training sessions. The POK disc is equipped with an EVA layer and a guide nub, providing excellent grip on the board.

For added safety, a Spectra safety rope connects both the upper and lower parts of the baseplate and can withstand a breaking load of up to 650 kg.
