Churchill developed the first short swim fin in 1936, thereby giving rise to an entire product segment. The Makapuu fin was named after the famous bodysurfing spot in Hawaii and has been standard equipment for bodyboarding and bodysurfing worldwide ever since.

The lineup includes the Makapuu Classic made from natural Malaysian rubber, the reinforced Makapuu Pro for extra thrust, and the Vortex for riders looking for a sturdier fin with more propulsion. All natural rubber models are individually inspected for quality.
