Patrik Windsurfing & Wingfoiling
Boards, sails, and Foils from one of the most experienced shapers in the sport of windsurfing
Patrik Diethelm started windsurfing in 1985, and what began as a way to balance out competitive skiing became his life’s work. In 1998, he crafted his first custom board. In 2000, he submitted a board design to F2 and was subsequently hired as a shaper, marking the start of his professional career as a shaper. Ten years later, in 2010, he founded his own brand, PATRIK, together with Karin Jaggi in Western Australia, where the two continue to test and develop boards to this day.
Everything from a single source, all from one designer
What fundamentally sets Patrik apart from other brands: Patrik Diethelm develops not only boards, but also sails, masts, Foils, Fins, and wings—all under one roof and designed by the same person. This makes it possible to fine-tune sails and Foil to work together, adapt Fins to boards, and think of the entire setup as a system rather than a collection of independent parts.
The AEON Foil System
The AEON is the only multi-sport Foil system to have won international titles in four different windsurfing and wingfoiling disciplines. What sets the AEON apart is its consistent system approach: the mast, fuselage, and wing are designed to work together and are not interchangeable at will. The fuselages use a patented self-locking connection that ensures the most direct power transfer between the mast and the front wing. The AEON front wings are so efficient that they can be used in sizes 50 to 80 cm² smaller than comparable wings from other manufacturers, while offering an extended low end and precise jibe performance. Available in aluminum and titanium, ranging from freerace sets to World Cup slalom configurations.
The CHASE Project
The CHASE Project is a collaboration between Patrik Diethelm and Thomas Goyard, one of the most technically skilled Foil riders and Foil experts in the world. When the most well-rounded designer in watersports and one of the best foilers team up to develop boards, Foils, and wings, the result is pure innovation that directly translates into an unparalleled riding experience. The CHASE Project stands for products developed at the cutting edge of what’s technically possible.
