Point-7
The black performance sails from Lake Garda
Point-7 is one of the windsurfing sail brands that is still consistently developed by an active competitive athlete. Founder Andrea Cucchi began his PWA career in 1997 and launched his own brand in 2005. On Lake Garda, just a few kilometers from the design loft, Cucchi still tests every prototype himself on the water before it goes into production.
The result is sails with a distinctive character: precise, responsive, iconic black, and delivering maximum performance. From ambitious freeride windsurfers to PWA pros, Point-7 has something for everyone.
Q-Bond – Point-7 uses ultrasound instead of a needle and thread
Q-Bond is an innovative bonding technology in which the sail panels are ultrasonically welded together without traditional seams. Point-7 is the first windsurfing brand to use this technology in sail production.
The sail profile becomes stiffer, generating more thrust, and the sail responds more directly to gusts. The elimination of seams reduces stretch between the panels. This increases agility and acceleration. At the same time, weight is reduced without sacrificing material strength. Q-Bond is currently available in the top race models—exactly where every gram and every millisecond of forward momentum counts.
