We present the AV-Board Modena.
Slalom
Modena Slalom is still the name of the AV-Boards Slalom series, which now comprises 6 boards Modena Slalom 88, 98, 108, 118, 128, 138. The Modena Slalom series is now suitable for all possible wind conditions and covers all possible combinations for national, international and World Cup competitions.
Modena Slalom 88 (229 x 60 x 88L) and 98 (229 x 62 x 98L) are the strong wind shapes of the series. Both boards have the same bottom shape and the same scoopline, with flat on the last 90 cm and a slight V from tail to nose. The straight scoopline in the middle section of the board has been developed for pure speed, while the higher nose and the cut-out at the tail give the boards enough lift to master chops and jibes with full speed and control.
The two shapes for the medium wind range are the Modena Slalom 108 (229 x 68 x 108L) and the Modena Slalom 118 (229 x 72.5 x 118L). Both boards have the same bottom shape and the same scoopline, with a slightly shorter flat and a higher scoopline than the 88 and 98. The bottom shape has a deep V in the center of the board and ends with a very slight V at the tail.
ModenaSlalom 128 (229 x 77 x 128L) and Modena Slalom 138 (227 x 85 x 138L) are light wind machines and have been redesigned from the ground up with a narrower outline in the front and more volume in the slightly wider tail and in the back of the rails where the rider's feet are. The bottom shape features a flat tail with a slight V that transitions into a deeper V in the center of the board where the maximum width is reached. This setup allows the 128 and 138 to be more powerful on the back foot to get upwind better and faster, accelerate quicker and maintain momentum and speed downwind, improving overall performance in light wind conditions and control in strong gusts or stronger winds.
