We present the Avanti Sails Poweride V2.

The new generation Poweride sail takes the freeride experience to a new level. Both the membrane and the monofilm version are characterized by a powerful profile in the lower sail area and are clearly aimed at performance. The profile is similar to that of the Tempest, but does without a high-aspect approach to be able to generate enough backhand pressure even without camber.

The focus of the development was the maximization and stabilization of the pressure point, which noticeably simplifies the driving experience. The 2021 SURF test has rated the sail as perfectly balanced and also in the rotation, the Poweride scored as the test winner.

The membrane version of the Poweride is also the lightest freeride sail on the market at 4.0Kg (7.0sqm). So if you are looking for a sporty sail that works without the handling deficits of camber sails, the Poweride is perfect.

Membrane technology

Characteristic of the Membrane sails is a very soft and smooth ride, which is incomparable. Gusts drive the windsurfer forward rather than out of control and give room for focus on maneuvering and tactics or relaxation. Where a monofilm sail loses its pressure point and begins to flutter in the wind, the membrane sail is stable and unchanged in its shape in the hand of the driver.
