Duotone COSMIC (4) SLS Board

SOME WAVES YOU DON’T JUST RIDE—YOU EARN THEM. THE COSMIC (4) SLS WAS BUILT EXACTLY FOR THIS MOMENT. DESIGNED FOR THE TOUGHEST SPOTS IN THE WORLD—MAUI, CAPE TOWN, CAPE VERDE—IT DIGS INTO THE WAVE AND HOLDS ON ALL THE HARDER THE HARDER YOU PUSH. IT TRANSFORMS RAW POWER INTO YOUR TIGHTEST, MOST UNCOMPROMISING TURNS.

The COSMIC (4) SLS is Duotone’s SLS-class wave board for advanced to expert riders in powerful groundswell conditions. It is not designed for onshore waves; its focus is on side-/side-off and offshore groundswells at high-performance wave spots (Maui, Cape Town, Brittany, Cape Verde, Ireland, Chile, Mauritius).

Construction: FULL CUSTOM SLS with S_GLASS+ reinforcement. The SLS version uses a lower carbon content than D/LAB; Innegra is replaced by S_GLASS+. The FULL CUSTOM production process ensures consistent weight and flex for every board that leaves the factory.

Shape System: Based on the SYNCED CURVES CONCEPT, developed using the proprietary AI_BOARD_3D software. The rocker line, outline, and rail curvature are synchronized across the entire length of the board, so that the three shape elements reinforce each other rather than cancel each other out.

3-STAGE ROCKER: a flatter mid-section between the bindings for a stable stance; the nose rocker starts just in front of the front bindings for front-foot-initiated bottom turns; the Kickstarter tail kick (progressive from the last 4–5 cm) enables tight, snappy top turns. The COSMIC (4) SLS update adds a bit more nose rocker for improved whitewater crossing.

Outline: narrower nose and tail than the GRIP model. The narrower nose provides more control at high speeds in calm water. The narrower tail improves control in bigger waves.

Underwater Shape: A V-shaped double concave in the front transitions to a flat double concave underfoot, then to a mono-concave toward the tail for rail-to-rail stability at high speeds.
