Duotone Paradox SLS

Get up, stash, and rip downwind—with the latest addition to the DUOTONE foiling board lineup: the Paradox SLS. Designed for everyone caught up in the parawing craze.

The Paradox SLS was developed in parallel with our Stash 2026 Parawing. That’s because expanding the range of applications for modern parawings isn’t just about improvements to the Wing itself—the board plays a crucial role. With a clear focus on takeoff, pumping efficiency, and playful, fluid turns, this shape was developed as the ultimate downwind weapon.

The slim, surf-inspired outline, the step tail, and the beveled edges reduce the underwater hull area and ensure good displacement. This allows the Foil to be pumped even while the board is still on the water’s surface.

The result is significantly improved take-off efficiency, allowing you to get up on the Foil with less power on the Wing. The flat rocker and relatively deep front foot position make pumping between sets particularly efficient, while the reduced thickness with a lowered standing area ensures plenty of control and a direct riding feel in turns.

Equipped with inserts for only one front foot strap* and built using our lightweight Biax carbon construction, swing weight remains minimal and responsiveness is maximized.

The new DUOTONE Paradox SLS is the ultimate toy for attacking swell waves with your parawing and linking them effortlessly. Thanks to its surf-like character, it’s also suitable for prone foiling, Foil assist sessions, or advanced freefly Wing foiling.

*Footstraps not included. V-strap or single strap sold separately.

PARADOX SLS vs. SKYBRID

Both boards are mid-length shapes and are suitable for various disciplines such as Wing foiling, parawing, Foil Assist, and—in smaller sizes—also for prone foiling.

Here are the key differences between the Paradox SLS and the Skybrid:

+ Less rocker: The Paradox SLS takes off earlier and can be pumped more efficiently, which is especially important on downwind runs. In comparison, the Skybrid offers more controlled handling at higher speeds with Wing.

+ Reduced underwater hull (more sharply angled edges, pointier nose, stepped tail):

Thanks to the reduced surface area of the hull, the Paradox SLS can be pumped out of the water more actively and efficiently using your legs. In contrast, the Skybrid’s wider hull offers greater stability and more forgiving handling.

+ More agile and maneuverable than the Skybrid, making it the more surf-oriented choice for advanced riders.

+ Longer, especially in the larger models: More glide for an earlier takeoff with the Parawing. The smaller models are of comparable length and are therefore better suited for advanced riders or windier conditions.

+ Lighter construction (similar to the Crush/Midfish) and only offers an option for a front-foot strap; not suitable for jumps. The Skybrid, on the other hand, can be used for jumps and ridden with both feet in the straps.

All Parawing riders, as well as Wing foilers with advanced skills who ride their turns in small waves or swell (preferably strapless)—will love the Paradox SLS.

Wing Foilers who like to go faster, ride with footstraps, or want to jump (except for the Skybrid D/LAB) will benefit from the Skybrid’s greater stability and good control at higher speeds.

PARADOX SLS vs. MIDFISH

The Midfish—our dedicated Foil assist board—is also a great option for parawings—especially in windy conditions—and offers plenty of control in turns.

The Paradox SLS, on the other hand, reaches the Foil much earlier than the wider Midfish. This allows you to ride with less pressure on the wing, making parawingen more efficient. For this very reason, the Paradox SLS is also very well suited for downwind sessions with the Foil Assist, as takeoff is quite smooth and thus energy-efficient for longer runs.
