Introducing the FORSHEDA shock absorbers.
The original!
FORSHEDA Shock Absorbers are made of EPDM rubber, a material with excellent resistance to sunlight, salt water, and ozone. EPDM rubber does not fade.
The line is simply fed through the patented nylon clamps at each end; no further knots are necessary. A simple but secure method, because the more tension there is on the line, the better the clamps hold.
The elongation length of the FORSHEDA rubber shock absorber can be adjusted to local conditions:
1 turn of the line around the shock absorber incalm waters without swell or waves. Little freedom of movement for the boat, low damping
2 turns of the line around the shock absorber inlight swell and tidal waters.
3 turns of the line around the shock absorber inopen and unprotected moorings. Plenty of freedom of movement for the boat, strong damping.
Ideally, every mooring line should be equipped with a FORSHEDA shock absorber.
At a berth on a fixed jetty, all 4 shock absorbers work together and compensate for practically every movement of the boat.
When moored at a floating dock, FORSHEDA shock absorbers are essential. This is the only way to compensate for the swaying movements of the dock.
To ensure optimal compatibility with your boat and the mooring lines used, the FORSHEDA shock absorber is available in 4 different sizes:
FS1: 10-12 mm line diameter, 420 mm shock absorber length
FS2: 14-16 mm line diameter, 490 mm shock absorber length
FS3: 18-20mm line diameter, 560mm damper length
FS4: 22-24mm line diameter, 620 mm damper length
