About the Free Bird:
Freeriding means leaning back and relaxing, but really opening it up as soon as your best friend is riding right next to you! The Future Fly Free Birds combine a clean, classic shape with modern features. With a rounded outline, a classic nose, and a straight rocker line, the board glides effortlessly through the water. The side edges are kept flat, the deck is level, and the bottom features a clean V-shape for the most relaxed sessions possible.
These classic characteristics are combined with modern design elements to give the board the finishing touch. The focus is primarily on volume distribution and length. Compared to other freeride boards, the Free Bird is designed to be shorter and more compact. This gives it the agility it needs to live up to its name and fly across the water!
Its performance is characterized by extremely early planing, incredibly easy jibes, and a wide range of riding styles. This means the Free Bird can be used with the inner strap positions for relaxed cruising and practice, or with the outer strap positions for flying and freeracing.
Included in the package is Fins. The Future Fly FFR Line combines a high-end racing fin profile with a rounded outline to deliver control, comfort, and the ability to really open it up.
Free Birds come in all sizes with a Foil box.
There are two construction options: Elite and Elite Flex. Both are high-end PVC sandwich constructions reinforced with carbon. You can find the details here: https://www.ff-boards.com/about/future-fly-construction/
For both construction types, FutureFly is superior in quality to most other brands and makes no compromises. With the Free Bird Elite, the focus is on durability, stability, and the right material thickness in the right places. The Elite Flex complements these features with more carbon and a slightly stiffer profile. The Elite is perfect for all beginners and intermediate riders. The Elite Flex is for those who have already mastered gliding and power jibes and are looking for even more performance.
