We present the Future Fly Dark Horse 2023.

The flagship from Future Fly lives up to its name on land and on the water. The aggressive look conveys the Formula 1 feeling that every slalom rider longs for.

Arnon Dagan and the Future Fly team developed every detail, from the more conservative cut outs, the rails, the bottom and the rocker line, and worked with experienced board engineers to make it a reality. Testing took place on the water and in all conditions - nothing was left to chance.

But the phenomenal exterior would be worthless if there wasn't a hard coat of Carbon underneath. The Future Fly "Madness" construction used in the Dark Horse is the most expensive on the windsurfing market and therefore contains the highest quality materials.

This Carbon construction method not only makes the board more durable and resistant, it also makes the entire construction even stiffer. This results in a direct feel, faster acceleration and more controlled jibes.

And of course, every brand writes such things. But Future Fly claims that you can not only read the difference, but also notice it.

New since 2022

The development of the Future Fly Dark Horse series has literally reached a new level in 2022. The general further development of the boards, in all different sizes, was achieved by setting up our own custom factory for the production of high-precision prototypes. As a result, significantly more improvements and tests could be carried out in the development process than in previous years. The results are a unique combination of unbelievable build quality and an even more ingenious riding experience.

Dark Horse 97

The Starkwind machine was fundamentally revised in 2022. New features include the deck concave and the newly developed cut-outs. Improvements have been made in top speed, control and jibing. In particular, railing the board has become easier and more balanced thanks to the further developments.

Dark Horse 107

The 107 Dark Horse is the little brother of the 117 version and is largely identical in its riding characteristics. This board is an alternative for lighter slalom riders in particular.

In 2022, the tail is slightly wider to improve pointing performance. The board has more "V" and improved speed and planing characteristics. The nose is thinner and less wide to improve aerodynamics. The rails at the base of the mast are rounder to make jibes smoother.

Dark Horse 117

The medium board sets standards, not only in terms of specific performance, but also in terms of sail and wind range.

The 2022 version is significantly faster, rides better in the jibe and is easier to control. Massive development progress has therefore been made compared to the previous model.

The tail is slightly wider to improve the pointing performance. The rocker line is lower at 150 cm in length and combined with more V. Speed, glide and comfort have thus been improved.

As with its little brother, the 107 Dark Horse, the nose has also been made thinner and narrower to improve aerodynamics. The rails at the base of the mast have also been rounded off more to improve the jibing characteristics.

The board has also become 0.5cm wider overall and is now 73cm wide at the maximum point. The cutouts are designed more aggressively and make it easier to control the grip/lift ratio and increase top speed. The water flow of the cutouts was tested with onboard cameras, drone images and performance measurements under laboratory conditions.

Dark Horse 122

This unusual board is the big brother of the 117 medium board. The features and riding characteristics are virtually identical, apart from the additional volume. However, the extra volume and therefore the wider outline also allow the use of large sails up to 9.0. The 122 Dark Horse is an alternative to the all-round 117, especially for heavier riders and those who tend to ride in light winds.

Dark Horse 132

The slalom board for light to medium winds is extremely compact thanks to the enormous stiffness of the material. Suitable for larger sails and developed for maximum speed, it leaves nothing to be desired. Affectionately christened "Horse of all Horses" by Arnon, the ingenious design proves itself day after day on the water.
