The Evil Twin is a combination of twin fin and trailer that was developed not only for the "Evil Twin" board model, but for all boards that rely on twin fin flare. The outline is an exact replica of our twin fins that we designed for our original RNF almost 25 years ago. A friend in Florida recently dug up a pair of these handmade twins from the mid 90's and sent them to me because he thought these large fins were still relevant today. We immediately built a prototype with Futures and loved it. An upright fin with a backward curved tip and lots of surface area. They offer drive and a precise pivot. We paired them with a smaller trailer fin. This helps pull turns and gives some stability and projection, but retains the free feel - the twin fin feel. I recently used a prototype on my Step-Ups, Solid Backside, Overhead Indo Surf where I never thought a twin fin would work so well - so well in fact that I forget I'm using it.
