ION Icon Curv Harness

The Icon Curv combines performance with uncompromising support for windsurfers who want full control and comfort. The high level of back support and secure fit give you the freedom to ride longer and push harder. At the heart of the design is the 3D-molded Curv hard shell, which has been redesigned to offer just the right balance of stiffness and flex: stable when you need it, and flexible enough for dynamic maneuvers. Thanks to 3D Fit Technology, you’ll effortlessly find the fit that’s just right—with half sizes and a replaceable Ergo_Pad that you can adjust to your body and comfort. The Icon Curv comes with the Spectre Bar 2, a lightweight yet extremely stable spreader bar that distributes loads evenly and gives you precise control.

ION

By water sports enthusiasts, for water sports enthusiasts

ION was founded in 2004 based on a simple conviction: Those who are out on the water themselves know best what’s needed there. Founded by windsurfers and kitesurfers who knew the market and weren’t satisfied with the existing gear, it all began with wetsuits and harnesses for the international kite, surf, and wakeboard scenes. From the very beginning, the result was different: high-quality products with a clean, progressive design that doesn’t look like sports gear, but rather reflects a lifestyle.

Today, ION is the global market leader for wetsuits and Harnesses in the windsurfing and kitesurfing world—and remains part of the Boards & More Group, which embodies the full spectrum of water sports.

More than one product category

ION doesn’t think in terms of sports. The brand’s identity can’t be reduced to kitesurfing, windsurfing, or Wing foiling—it’s about challenging yourself, experiencing nature, and feeling what gravity and the wind do to you. Whether someone is riding a slalom board, pulling a kite behind them, or gliding on a Foil, it doesn’t matter to ION. What counts is the feeling behind it. This mindset is embedded in every product: from the seams of a wetsuit to the geometry of a harness frame. And it explains why ION products so often work across different sports—not because it was intentional, but because they were developed by people who are themselves at home in all disciplines.

Living as You Grow

What sets ION apart from many other brands is the consistency with which it lives out its own philosophy internally. Employees at the Munich headquarters get time off when the wind picks up—because a real session on the water is more valuable than any feedback form. Anyone who wants to can work remotely for two weeks pro a year from a kitesurfing spot anywhere in the world. This isn’t just a perk on paper—it’s a living reality: The gear is worn, put through its paces, and tested under real-world conditions by our own people—not through QA processes, but through real sessions in real wind. Anything that doesn’t work in these conditions doesn’t make it into production. Anything that excites us does. This isn’t marketing. It’s our structure—and the reason why ION products are so consistently designed for what’s actually needed on the water.
