Introducing the JP Australia Ultimate Wave S-TEC 2025.
WAVE EXCELLENCE IN ULTIMATE TECHNOLOGY
These shapes were introduced last year and took the wave scene by storm: word quickly spread that they were the ultimate waveboards! This year's innovation is a brand new technology called S-Tech, which takes the performance of the boards to a whole new level.
The most outstanding detail this year is our groundbreaking S-TEC technology, which is now being introduced to the JP range for the first time. The weight savings are impressive: this generation of Ultimate Waves is about 700 grams lighter!
This reduction is achieved through several important changes:
* No paint
* Less rough paint, which is now only used in the stand area* Less rough paint, which is now only used in maintenance areas
* Smaller pads – less EVA and less adhesive
* Elimination of the middle fin box in the stern
and
* A refined, adapted lamination process in which the fibers are prepared and laminated separately
How can durability be maintained at the proven level without the Innegra material?
We achieve this by using more high-quality S-glass, combined with biax carbon reinforcements and UD carbon layers under the PVC hard foam panels. In addition, the lower laminate no longer ends at the tucked line, but wraps around the edge. Together with the overlapping top laminate, it acts as an additional stringer along the edges, providing greater stiffness while reinforcing the edge.
This not only creates a completely new look, but also provides a new riding experience with a weight saving of well over half a kilogram!
The ultimate windsurfing experience is riding clean waves down the line, and that's exactly what these boards are designed for. Each generation of our thoroughbred wave boards has been refined to enhance this experience. The previous series were already masterpieces in this regard, winning titles on the IWT Wave Tour and dominating the Aloha Classic in recent years. However, the current boards are even better, and we expect them to be even more successful in competitions. But whether you win or not, these boards are guaranteed to offer a
Ambitious wavesurfers can boost their performance and get even more out of everything from mediocre to epic conditions.
The positive feedback from riders around the world is simply overwhelming. They love the drive, liveliness, and agility. They love the racy down-the-line performance combined with reliability on the wave, which allows them to push the limits of their abilities while riding.
Shaper Werner Gnigler achieved this by combining the swallow-tail tail of the Magic Wave with the Ultimate Wave Bug. The result is a board that allows you to ride steeper sections and hit the wave lip with more confidence and control. These hybrid boards are fun and incredibly controllable, regardless of wave height.
One of the most significant features of these shapes is the flat scoop rocker line along the midship line, paired with a much stronger curve along the edges. Werner combines this with an interesting V transformation that starts with a moderate V at the bow, transitions into a single concave in thefootstrap area, and ends with a slight V at the tail. This results in easy, early planing and instant speed increase, allowing you to ride waves with more speed, confidence, control, and a noticeably more radical style.
The smooth outline and thin, soft rails end in an exquisite swallow tail—a must for this type of board for maximum grip in high-speed turns and ultimate acceleration for tight turns in smaller waves.
The fin boxes and stance positions are slightly further back compared to previous models, allowing turn radii to be changed at any time by applying pressure with the front or rear foot. This provides better control and maneuverability on the wave, allowing riders to fully exploit their skills and creativity in both small and large waves.
All four fin boxes are slotted, with the side fin boxes being even shorter for better performance.
QUAD FIN BOXES / NO FINS:
Efficient and economical: In 2025, the boards will come with four slot boxes for the quad setup. For better performance, the boxes for the side fins are even shorter. The rarely used alternative center box has been omitted for cost and weight reasons.
Most riders who are interested in a dedicated wave board already have their own favorite wave fins and do not need additional ones. Therefore, the boards are delivered without fins, which also contributes to the Keeping costs low.
Summary
