Introducing the JP Australia X-Winger Board.
Our completely new X-Winger boards are longer and narrower than their predecessors. They feature many new shape details that make them more maneuverable and agile, giving them better overall handling. Most importantly, they are much more efficient and superior in all aspects of performance.
The longer, narrower hull and flat bow rocker provide better glide, faster acceleration, and allow for easier and earlier take-off with a smooth transition into flight mode. The clearly defined edges efficiently convert the buoyancy generated by the underwater hull into lift, which further aids take-off. These shape features work together to improve other characteristics: occasional touch-downs are smoother and the board bounces smoothly off the water surface without losing speed — this is significantly more efficient and comfortable than with its predecessor.
The outline in the bow area has been made significantly narrower to reduce the board's swing weight and improve aerodynamics. To compensate for the now lower volume, we have made this area thicker. Nevertheless, the slim bow makes for a lighter riding experience with more agile handling.
The slightly concave standing area ensures very direct handling with control over the Foil.
The rear section has been given additional rocker. When flying, this additional bottom curve lifts the bow, resulting in a better flying position for the board. This prevents unwanted contact with the water and treats the rider to a more comfortable stance. In addition, the rocker generates more pop during jumps and ensures greater airtime.
This year's X-Wingers feature innovative cutouts: they reduce the volume and width in the tail, enabling a more efficient pumping motion to generate the necessary lift over the Foil. In turns, you can also edge the board more sharply without the tail touching the water. During occasional touch-downs, the cutouts help to minimize braking and maintain speed.
Technical details:
The boards have very long boxes, which offer a large tuning range for the Foil. The boxes are embedded in PU blocks that extend from the deck to the underwater hull, and this deck-to-bottom connection results in an extremely stable construction.
In addition, the boards are equipped with PVC hard foam panels in the deck and hull and, together with the Innegra edge reinforcements, offer an unmatched combination of stiffness and low weight.
