We present the Loftsails Racingblade 2026.

At the heart of the Loftsails Racing lineup is the Racingblade, a meticulously engineered performance sail designed for maximum efficiency with Fins setups. Built specifically for slalom racing, it meets all PWA regulations and delivers exactly what ambitious racers need: brutal acceleration and top speed without compromise.

For 2026, the Racingblade takes it a step further, introducing subtle yet effective updates for even better handling and more power:

Carefully adjusted batten angles and luff curves improve balance and lower the sail’s center of gravity. A slightly lowered foot area provides more control and even greater drive when you’re going full throttle. The higher aspect ratio and revised profile shape reduce drag and ensure a locked-in, aerodynamic ride across a wide wind range.

At the heart of the Racingblade lies a high-precision batten setup: Longer battens and set-back tubes create a flatter leading-edge profile—which further reduces drag and enables faster, smoother cam rotation. All battens are housed in alternating X-Ply batten pockets, which prevent asymmetry and keep the sail clean and stable under load.

New for 2026 is Loftsails’ TekCam 3 system, which is 30% lighter, delivering even smoother rotation and supporting the optimized profile while keeping rigging simple.

The mast pocket is made of 2 mil Quad-Axial X-Ply and IYU250 fabric, forming a two-layer, stretch-resistant zone from the head to the tack. This ensures the fit remains precise even after many sessions. For greater durability, the mast pocket now features a 50 mm wide, triple-stitched seam, built to withstand years of use during rigging and racing.

The new Dual Kevlar clew radials stabilize the profile even under heavy pressure, distribute forces more evenly, and ensure consistent forward drive.
Reinforcements in the window, on the leech, and in the foot area are made of robust X-Ply laminate, while the 4.0 mil Bi-Ply panels in the body provide top-notch resistance to UV and stretching. New for 2026: 5.0 mil panels in the foot area for greater durability in high-stress zones and consistently reliable performance.

The new 2026 design is clean and functional, without any unnecessary marker material or scrim. This not only reduces visual clutter but also lowers the center of gravity, making the sail more balanced and responsive in all conditions.

Founded in 1999 by Monty Spindler, with over 25 years of pursuit of the perfect sail

Loftsails was founded in 1999 by Monty Spindler and has been one of the most unconventional windsurfing sail brands for more than two decades. Spindler develops and tests all sails in Tarifa, one of the windiest and most challenging spots in the world. What works there goes into production. What doesn’t work there never makes it to market. This isn’t a marketing promise—it’s the fundamental principle behind every Loftsails collection. Spindler publicly explains his design decisions in a video series where he directly answers questions from the community, and he personally stands behind every sail that bears his name.

Wind Vision: The Approach Behind the Sails

Loftsails represents a clearly defined design approach that Spindler calls Wind Vision: sails that are stable, efficient, and controllable across a wide wind range without sacrificing peak performance. Specifically, this means: IPC (Integrated Profile Control) for a stable profile across the entire wind range, TekCam as the camber system for the Freerace line, and a consistent selection of materials focused on durability and profile stability. The result is sails with a distinct character: controlled, responsive, and predictable.

A complete lineup for all windsurfing disciplines

Loftsails covers all disciplines, from wave to PWA slalom. The Purelip and Wavescape are designed for waves and bump & jump; the Oxygen and Switchblade for freeride and freerace; the Racingblade and Formulablade for competition; and the Skyblade and Escape for Foil. In addition, there are dedicated masts in 50%, 75%, and 100% carbon, in RDM and SDM configurations, which are consistently matched to the sails.
