Description

We present the NeilPryde MXT Extension RDM.

Used by most sailors on the PWA TOUR, the Mono-Button Mast Base and Extension System (MXT) has been designed to provide a secure, heavy-duty connection and ease of use.

The MXT Extensions are fully integrated with stainless steel cleat/pulley bottom assemblies, offering the best weight-to-stiffness ratio and resulting in extensions that are very light yet extremely strong. Weight has been reduced by eliminating all unnecessary plastic while increasing the cross-sectional area of the stainless steel parts for greater strength. This component can now withstand over 900 kg of downhaul load—twice as much as is used on the largest racing sails.

The special geometry, featuring a tilted bottom pulley, ensures perfect alignment between the sail pulley and the rope. This allows the sail to be downhauled all the way down (block-to-block) and reduces downhauling friction.
