Description

We present the NeilPryde MXT Extension SDM.

Used by most sailors on the PWA TOUR, the Mono-Button Mast Base and Extension System (MXT) has been designed to provide a secure, heavy-duty connection and ease of use. The MXT extensions are fully integrated with stainless steel cleat/pulley bottom assemblies, offering the best weight-to-stiffness ratio and resulting in extensions that are very light yet very strong.

The weight has been reduced by eliminating all unnecessary plastic while increasing the cross-section of the stainless steel parts for greater strength. This part can now withstand over 900 kg of downhaul load—twice as much as is used on the largest racing sails.

The special geometry, featuring a tilted bottom pulley, ensures perfect alignment between the sail, pulley, and rope. This allows the sail to be downhauled all the way down (block-to-block) and reduces downhauling friction.

STRONG INTEGRATED PULLEYS

Load-bearing stainless steel cast structure—transfers the load directly from the pulleys to the extension tube without relying on any plastic components. Stainless steel pulleys for less friction and greater durability.

Highest-grade rope, tested for endurance, for optimal performance, reduced friction, and longevity.

ROPE CLEAT
