We present the NeilPryde RS:Flight EVOV 2024.
Foil racing redefined.
Building on the success of our 2023 Neilpryde Flight EVO IV, our most technologically advanced foil sail has been revised once again to meet the highest demands of our World Cup team. The entire sail was simulated and modeled in 3D in its actual shape in use, taking into account in particular the twist behavior and the changed luff curve under the influence of wind. A four-piece luff panel and full carbon battens over the boom allow for ultimate performance. A higher aspect ratio (ratio of luff to boom length) and a more open leech improve acceleration and half-wind performance.

Sail properties
The most successful racing sail evolution on the planet |
The RS:Racing holds more world championship titles and speed records than any other racing sail in the last 20 years. |
Quadruple luff construction | 4 layers of material form the luff sleeve to increase strength and load performance in this critical, highly stressed area of the sail. This luff sleeve construction allows us to apply a maximum amount of downhaul tension and stretches greatly in this area, increasing performance. New for 2024, Taffeta in the upper luff sleeve increases stretch resistance, performance and durability. |
7-slat design |
Ultimate control and stability are guaranteed by the 7-batten design. |
Airflow optimized sail slats | The battens are arranged aerodynamically correct and take into account the luff angle of the sail when sailing. This improves the airflow, enables easier rotation and accelerates the sail. |
Leading edge rib | Carbon fiber ribs sewn to the leading edge of the upper sail section stabilize this critical section of the profile at the top battens where no cambers are used. |
New materials in the luff and leech | The new materials have allowed us to improve durability and increase stretch resistance to create an even more responsive and competitive racing sail. |
High Aspect Design | The profile of the RS:Flight has a significantly higher aspect ratio than the profile of the RS:Racing. This allows the sail to make maximum use of every gust of wind and promotes maximum speed as well as upwind and downwind performance. |
Tight windward design | Developed exclusively for foil free-race, the RS:Flight utilizes design features that are not optimal for use with fin sails due to the need for control and wind release over waves when using a fin. Therefore, the RS:Flight has all the design advantages listed above to achieve maximum performance when used to power a pure foil racing board. |
