Sail characteristics
| On/off power |
A modern freestyle sail must perform well in contrasting areas. Full power to get going quickly and give you buoyancy, as well as a neutral, relieved feeling when you lower the sail. |
| Dacron luff panel | The Dacron luff panel is the key to the Wizard's neutrality. While the rest of the sail is primarily monofilm, the Dacron luff panel allows the sail to feel completely neutral when unloading for ducking. |
| Tight leech design | The tight leech allows you to utilize every ounce of power in the sail, allowing you to use smaller sails than a comparable sail with a loose leech. The tight leech also ensures full control during turning movements and gives you the springy pop you need for technically demanding, power-intensive maneuvers. |
| 4 batten layout | 4 batten layout to create a stable base and allow us to use the lowest possible luff curve to allow the sail to appear as neutral as possible. |
| Wide wind range | A wide adjustment range that allows the rider to trim the sail for all conditions. Designed for freestyle and bump and jump conditions, the Wizard is rigged with less foot tension than other sails to allow the sail to achieve maximum power when pumping and provide the most consistent duck and give maximum pop for aerial maneuvers |
| Agility | Lightweight and extremely neutral, you won't feel undue pressure on your hindquarters when riding waves, and the sail remains neutral even in the steepest and most critical wave riding positions. Maneuvers like 360s and Goiters are becoming even more accessible. |
| Can be used in a variety of ways | Equally at home on foil or fin, the Wizard will get you going quickly and with control, regardless of your discipline. |
