This mainly affects the screws that hold the Foils together. When stainless steel, titanium, or carbon come into contact with aluminum, a reaction occurs that can practically weld them together. Over time, the materials can become brittle and break.
The insulating and water-repellent properties of Shield Gel create a barrier between the screws and the aluminum, preventing the corrosion process.
The gel also lubricates, making it quicker and easier to install or remove the film.
