Racer Of The Sea
With over 50 windsurfers registered for the regatta, sunshine, more than enough wind and a perfect location, not much could really go wrong. Already on Saturday we were surprised by a real storm. It blew with 20-30 knots in a perfect sideshore angle and an official wave formed off Kellenhusen. After four slalom races, we even continued with wave windsurfing. On Sunday, the wind became a little more relaxed, but was still sufficient for the foilers and fin riders. A total of 8 foil races, 6 fin races and a complete wave elimination were held. You can't get more action in one weekend.
Those who were already flat after two laps on the water didn't have to worry about boredom either. In addition to our stand, where we were of course happy to provide help and advice, there were also other exhibitors, a catering stand, a DJ booth and even a complete festival area including various food stalls.
Even at national and international regattas, this level of professionalism is rare. We were therefore all the more pleased that the Racer of the Sea crew was particularly open to amateur windsurfers who wanted to try their hand at windsurfing frigates.
As most of you have probably already noticed, we have become a main partner of the "Racer of the Sea" regatta series with Wind Lounge this year. This means that we sponsor €1001 in prize money per event, may be active as an exhibitor on site and are involved in supporting young talent. We were so enthusiastic about the last event in Kellenhusen that we will definitely be there again at the next event in Hemmelmark.
Of course, we hope to see as many of you as possible on site.
