Introducing the JP Australia Slalom S-TEC 2025.

Freestyle ELEVATED

This range of freestyle boards was developed in collaboration with our pros Yentel Caers and Sam Esteve and was only introduced last year.

Our winning shapes are short, responsive, and radical, allowing riders to turn, rotate, and pop with unparalleled speed and precision. Despite their liveliness, these boards still offer the early glide and speed potential of their predecessors. In addition, the tail shape provides a more powerful "pop" for multiple rotations and impressive freestyle moves. All the cool moves and tricks that you and the pros conjure up will be easier this year thanks to a brand new technology called S-TEC: it enables the greatest weight savings ever achieved in our freestyle range and takes board performance to a whole new level.

At JP, we have always been pioneers in freestyle board design and work closely with our team riders to push the boundaries of what is possible and set new trends in the sport. Our current shapes are no exception, with an unwavering focus on improving the potential for modern freestyle while maintaining our high standards of performance and handling.

The most outstanding detail this year is our groundbreaking S-TEC technology, which is now being introduced to the JP range for the first time. The weight savings are impressive: this generation of freestyle boards is between 300 and 400 grams lighter!

The reduction is achieved through several key changes:

* No paint

* Less rough paint, which is now only used in the stand area

* Smaller pads – less EVA and less adhesive

* Refined, customized lamination process in which the fibers are prepared and laminated separately

Durability has been maintained at the proven level by replacing the Innegra material with more high-quality S-glass, biax carbon reinforcements, and UD carbon layers under the high-density PVC. In addition, the lower laminate no longer ends at the tucked-under edge, but wraps around the rail. Together with the overlapping deck laminate, it acts as an additional stringer along the edges, providing more stiffness while reinforcing the edges.

This not only creates a completely new look, but also provides a great riding experience with a weight saving of approximately 300 grams! With these new boards, you can be sure that you are getting the best in freestyle technology, backed by years of experience and our dedication to Unparalleled quality.

Success in freestyle today depends on double power moves, which is why we have focused our development on take-off speed, so that triple moves can become the next standard. To achieve this, shaper Werner Gnigler has shortened the boards slightly, reducing the swing weight and increasing the reaction speed during the pop. Rotations in the air and sliding moves are now faster and more controlled.

Although shorter than previous JP shapes, the new boards are still longer than many other models on the market, making all-round performance easily accessible for everyone, anytime.

The flat scoop rocker line creates the lift needed for early planing and high speed, and our new ultra-light technology reinforces this enormously.

The camber of the deck is crucial to ensure sufficient riding stability not only in a normal stance, but also when riding in a switch stance. Since most moves are performed in a switch stance, the board design must be able to handle this additional task. The subtle camber ensures a balance between performance and stability during moves.

The wide and thick tail provides sufficient buoyancy and gliding power, but even when fully gliding, the rider can still push it deep enough into the water for a powerful takeoff. Due to their low weight, the boards jump higher and feel lighter, making them easier to turn and rotate in the air.

The underside of the boards has a defined V from the mast base to the bow. Together with the rounded tucked-under rail, this makes sliding moves more forgiving.

The flat V at the tail, paired with a pronounced edge line, provides exceptional grip, instant power transfer, and a loose riding feel—the desired "loose ride."

The boards come with double footstrap plugs to ensure maximum control.

More than just ordinary freestyle boards: all sizes are equipped with JP's reinforced Foil power box, and their compact and wide shapes make them ideal for foiling. This expands the range of use of your "small" equipment: Simply mount a Foil and take off—while other freestylers sit on the beach with their normal Fins waiting for the wind to pick up. Easy and stable to handle, these short freestyle boards are perfect for learning this segment of our sport. Advanced Foil freestylers can test their limits and pull off their first crazy moves at the EFPT "foilstyle" events.

Although not specifically designed and tuned for this purpose, the small boards also allow the use of a wing.

JP's three freestyle boards are extremely versatile and can be used in a wide range of conditions, from fun regattas in fresh water to hardcore PWA and EFPT freestyle events at sea. With their short and compact shapes, they respond and turn faster, making them great for both recreational and professional windsurfers. The new S-TEC gives them an extra boost of performance, making them superior to their predecessors in all gliding aspects. What's more, they now feel even livelier, more agile, and significantly lighter! Overall, these super-light boards offer a complete and exciting package for all skill levels.

RIDERS NOTE:

Yentel Caers on the new technology:

"The freestyle shapes were just updated in 2024 and they are the best boards I've ever had! Now it was time for the next step: the goal was to make the freestyles lighter while keeping them just as durable and stiff as our current Innegra boards. With the new construction, we have achieved this goal, because my test board was 500 grams lighter and couldn't be broken in five months of intensive 'tricking'. That was a huge success! I was skeptical at first, because my first priority is to have a durable, long-lasting board, and weight comes second. In most cases, light and durable don't go together, but our shaper and development team proved me wrong. Having a light board under your feet—without worrying about it breaking—is fantastic. The improved performance will take your freestyle skills to the next level!"

Sam Esteve on the shapes:

"The JP Freestyle offers an exceptional combination of performance and versatility. Its tail shape allows me to maintain speed when ducking and switching positions. Its rounder nose helps me maintain control during sliding moves and sustain the energy needed for multiple pops. With this board, I can push my limits with confidence.

My favorite setup is the 4.0 sail with the 85L board in strong winds and on flat water.

The JP Freestyle is the ultimate board for anyone who wants to push their limits, whether they're attempting difficult trick combinations or just getting started with freestyle tricks."
