We present the Patrik AIO Foil aluminum mast.
The ALU 65 mast is designed for foiling in shallow water, for beginner courses in windfoiling and wingfoiling and for children.
The ALU 75 mast offers a good balance between stiffness and length. Recommended for surf foiling and winging and for heavier riders.
Use the ALU 85 mast for more control and pop or for windfoiling. Not recommended for riders over 95 kg, who should look at our carbon masts instead.
General tips:
With a short mast, the turning, pitching and rolling of the foil is easier to control. Flow barrels are more common as you have less length to control the flight, but touchdowns are easier and possible with less effort from lower heights. Jibes and turns are easier as you need less centrifugal force (less speed) to stay on the board.
A longer mast allows for higher speed. At higher speeds, it becomes impossible to follow the surface of the water and adjust your height to any bumps you pass over. At the same time, the increased center of gravity makes it more difficult to control the foil. Heavy riders will also feel a difference in the stiffness of the mast the longer it gets.
