Not a classic Baseplate, but first and foremost a real eye-catcher and secondly a guarantee for performance. Windsurf Baseplates are not an easy topic, especially in competitive sports. The pressure point should be as close to the board as possible, which means that the pin should be as short as possible. At the same time, both flexibility and stiffness are desired in the tendon joint – but in the right balance. If a Baseplate is too soft, this leads to suboptimal power transmission from the rig to the sail – especially in the limit ranges.
The Point-7 windsurf Baseplate meets all these requirements and is used by professionals in the PWA. When it comes to Baseplate, this is a clear sign of quality and performance.
We therefore recommend the Point-7 base to all customers who value optimal power transfer. The base is used in advanced freerace, slalom, Foil, wave, and freestyle, the base is suitable for beginners, but less expensive alternatives from, for example, Unifiber can be used.
