The Tendon Joint HD is a high quality performance Baseplate that optimizes the power transfer from the sail to the board. The durable Tendon Joint minimizes lateral stretching of the mast base, making it easy to get the board flying even with larger sails. The riding feel is more direct than with the Power Joint or Boge Joint Baseplate from Unifiber.
We recommend this Baseplate to all performance-oriented windsurfers who value finesse. It is important to understand that the transfer of power from the sail to the board is an elementary component in questions of "control".
We therefore also recommend replacing the Baseplate once a year if it is used frequently in order to minimize risks and losses during power transmission.
