Introducing the JP Australia Slalom S-TEC 2026.

FREESTYLE ON A NEW LEVEL

Our freestyle boards were developed in collaboration with JP's freestyle experts Yentel Caers and Sam Esteve and are designed for maximum performance. The shapes are short, responsive, and radical, allowing you to execute spins, rotations, and pops with incredible speed and precision. Despite their liveliness, the boards still offer the early planing and speed potential of their predecessors. The tail provides powerful pop to land multiple rotations and spectacular freestyle moves with ease. Thanks to the S-TEC construction introduced last year, all moves are easier than ever before – saving weight and taking performance to a whole new level.

At JP, we have always been at the forefront of freestyle board development. Together with our team riders, we push the boundaries and set new trends. Our current shapes continue this tradition: full focus on the new school freestyle potential without losing sight of ride quality and performance.

S-TEC

Introduced last year, the groundbreaking S-TEC technology is once again the focus this year. The boards are between 300 and 400 grams lighter – a real game changer. This is made possible by several details:

  • No varnish

  • Anti-slip only in the standing areas

  • Smaller and thinner pads – less EVA, less adhesive

  • Optimized lamination process, fibers prepared and laminated separately

Durability remains at the usual level thanks to high-quality S-glass replacement for Innegra, biax carbon reinforcements, and UD carbon layers under the high-density PVC. The bottom laminate now runs over the rails, which, combined with the overlapping deck laminate, acts like an additional stringer along the rails and provides more stiffness and stability.

The result: a completely new look and feel and a lighter board with a significantly improved riding experience.

Performance for new moves

Success in modern freestyle depends on double power moves. That's why the focus during development was on speed during pop, so that triple moves become the new normal. Shaper Werner Gnigler has made the boards slightly shorter than their predecessors. This reduces swing weight and improves reaction speed when popping. Slides and aerial spins become faster and more controlled, and triple moves are easily possible. Despite their shortness, the new shapes are longer than many other models on the market, offering accessible all-round performance in all conditions.

The flat scoop rocker line provides the necessary buoyancy, early planing, and speed. Our ultra-light technology supports this even further.

The deck dome is crucial for stability, not only in a normal stance, but also when switch riding. Since many moves are performed switch today, the board must meet these requirements. The subtle dome perfectly balances performance and stability.

The tail combines width and thickness, offering sufficient buoyancy, but can be easily submerged during powerful take-offs. The low weight allows the boards to jump higher and feel lighter and more maneuverable in the air.

The bottom shape features a defined V from the Baseplate towards the front, combined with a gentle tuck line for smooth sliding and a little forgiveness during moves. Towards the tail, there is a flat V with a pronounced tuck line for grip, power, and a high water feel while maintaining a relaxed board feel.

All boards are equipped with double footstrap plugs for maximum control.

More than just classic freestyle boards: all sizes feature JP's reinforced Foil power box, and the compact, wide shapes are perfect for Foil riding. Simply mount your {c6eb2af51bfb5675e58c365317506b63} and take off while other freestylers are still waiting for wind. Wing riding is also possible, although not specifically optimized for it.
