Introducing the JP Australia Magic Ride 2026.

Magic Ride

Strong boards that can do everything you expect from a freeride board—and in an exceptionally easy and impressive way!

They feel playful and small, sit high in the water, and deliver the lively, sporty feeling that makes windsurfing so exciting. They are fast, yet super easy to sail and control. These wide and thin boards get up on the Plane early Plane are really fun to jibe. Their jibing potential impresses riders of all levels!

Since the first generation, this line has been a magical blend of everything an experienced rider wants from a funboard. While the originals focused on lightness, the second generation became more agile and lively. The shapes of the third generation offer significantly improved control at speed and in chop, resulting in a sporty, energetic character that is incredibly easy to handle.

The result: the boards ride smoothly and quickly, jibe effortlessly, and carve through turns with ease. They surprise as JP's most playful and agile freeride boards. The magic of these boards takes performance and fun to the next level.

The Magic Ride is the undisputed "Gentleman of the Turn" in the freeride class: it feels effortless and smooth when jibing, even in challenging conditions on the water. Thanks to its renowned autopilot qualities, the board requires little input from the rider, which is particularly beneficial for beginners or intermediate riders and significantly increases their chances of success when jibing. It has never been easier to initiate the turn even at low speeds and still come Plane on Plane – and planing jibes are every freerider's dream!

At the same time, the rail bite and reliability when carving motivate advanced riders to push even harder and make tighter turns. Classic freestyle jibes such as duck jibes or carving 360s become a playground for your skills. The Magic Ride can be seen as a larger freestyle wave board and is the most playful and forgiving of the JP maneuver freeride boards.

The real freerider: What's impressive about this line is its lightness and smoothness. You step on and everything happens naturally and predictably. The feeling is familiar—like an old pair of shoes that just fit. Relaxed and confident, you achieve more speed than on previous freeride generations. Despite its easy handling, performance and agility are in no way compromised. British WINDSURF praised the speed as the biggest surprise and described the riding experience as comfortable, if not exceptional. The hull feels lively, fast, and responsive. It planes willingly, offers grip, and inspires you to push for fun and adrenaline and fly the board on the fin – all under control!

The Magic Ride 159 is longer than the other sizes, stable and accessible – perfect for anyone moving up from a beginner board with a daggerboard. It is specially designed for easy, early planing. The planing feeling comes naturally and is addictive.
