Introducing the JP Australia Ultimate Wave S-TEC 2026.
WAVE EXCELLENCE IN ULTIMATE TECHNOLOGY
Maximum control, radical turns, and a shape that is uncompromisingly designed for wave performance. The Ultimate Wave stands for pure down-the-line power and offers amazingly early planing for a board in this category. Developed together with our top riders, the Ultimate Wave is lighter, faster, and more precise than ever.
The S TEC construction introduced last season remains a real game changer. It makes the boards around 500 grams lighter than previous generations, and you can feel the difference in every session.
We achieve this weight reduction through:
-
No paint
-
Less anti-slip only in the standing area
-
Smaller pads – less EVA and less adhesive
-
Omission of the rear center fin box
-
Optimized hand lamination with separately prepared fibers
Despite the lower weight, durability remains fully intact as the previous Innegra material has been replaced by high-quality S Glass combined with biax Carbon and UD Carbon the high-density PVC. In addition, the bottom laminate now runs over the rails instead of ending at the tuck line. Together with the overlapping deck laminate, this creates an additional stringer along the rails, which also provides greater stiffness and robustness.
This design not only looks extremely clean, it also delivers a completely new riding experience. Less weight makes the board livelier, more agile, and more responsive.
The ultimate windsurfing experience is pure down-the-line wave riding, and that's exactly what the Ultimate Wave line is built for. Each generation has been further refined, and previous models have won the IWT Wave Tour and dominated the Aloha Classic, among other competitions. The new boards take it one step further, and we expect to see them even more successful in competition. Whether you win or not, these boards guarantee an incredible riding experience and noticeably improve your wave performance—from mediocre days to epic conditions.
Feedback from pros who use their Magic Wave boards on tour was a key factor in the development of this shape. We wanted to bring more liveliness and agility to our down-the-line shapes to create an even more engaging and reliable riding experience for advanced wave riders.
Shaper Werner Gnigler has achieved this by combining the Magic Wave Swallow Tail with the Ultimate Wave Nose. The result is a board that allows you to ride more vertically and enables lip hits with greater control and safety. These hybrid shapes are really fun and remain controllable at all times, even in big waves.
One of the most important shape characteristics is the straight scoop rocker line in the middle of the board combined with significantly more bottom curve on the rails. Added to this is a clever vee design that starts with a moderate vee in the nose area, transitions into a Single between the straps, and ends in a slight vee again in the tail. This provides early planing, lots of speed, and a powerful, controlled, and radical surfing feeling.
The fluid outline and thin, soft rails transition into a precise swallow tail – a must for maximum grip in high-speed turns and ultimate acceleration in tight turns on smaller waves.
The fin box and standing positions are slightly further back than before, allowing you to control turns with your front or back foot at any time and adjust your line flexibly. This not only increases control but also opens up completely new possibilities for radical maneuvers—from small to huge waves.
QUAD FIN BOXES / NO FINN
Efficient and economical. Starting in 2026, the boards will come with four slot boxes for a quad setup. The side boxes are shorter for better performance. The rarely used middle box has been omitted for weight and cost reasons. Most wave specialists have their own preferred Fins anyway. This allows us to offer the board at a lower price and make it lighter.
